My painting is based on a play with colours and transparency. My goal is to create abstract landscapes, illustrate natural phenomena or emotional states of mind. The effect of transparency is a common factor between my paintings and the glass art I make. I want to experiment how to blend multiple layers of different colors to achieve the final emotional effect both in glass art and paintings.
The play with transparent color layers is the core and most important element in my epoxy resin paintings
I use epoxy resin and liquid pigments which gives me a possibility to use very vibrant and intensive colors. The glass like surface and transparency of the material in the paintings amplifies the effect. The layer technique I use, creates areas of light and shadows in the abstract paintings.
